TRIBUTE TO THE WORLD RECORD LIFETIME PRODUCTION COW:
STUDACH’S REGAL MORCHEL
09/02/1987 - 05/05/2010
|
|
Morchel the undisputed World Lifetime Production Record holder has with her death on 5 May 2010
at the age of 23 years, set a very high standard for any cow to beat in order to claim this
prestigious title.
Her lifetime production was 197'000 kg milk in 6994 days of lactation, which equates to an
average of 28.17kg milk/day in lactation. Her milk components were 3.44% fat and 3.44% crude
protein. An impressive lifetime protein production of 6’782kg will also be hard to beat.
We like all Brown Swiss breeders around the world would like to salute this great champion of
the breed. Our gratitude to the family Studach, of Moerschwil near St Gallen, Switzerland for
breeding and cherishing such a great cow.
